About a week ago me and Sini were hanging out in North Hollywood after our morning ballet class at the Millennium Dance Complex. We hadn’t picked up our US prepaid cards for our cellphones yet, so we decided that it would be a perfect time to do that before our next classes, which weren’t starting before 7 pm in the evening. We didn’t have any problems when getting the cards, the only con was that you weren’t able to call or text to Finland with those kind of prepaid cards. The guy from the shop was showing us a list of all the foreign countries you were able to call and our country wasn’t even on the list. Nice one, apparently the Americans don’t even recognize our country as a country… 😉
After that I went quickly to a food market and bumped there into a skater/musician who would have wanted to take me and Sini for a coffee, because he “liked our style”. Well, maybe later…
Finally we decided to go Starbucks to grab something before the classes. We must have looked really amusing on the terrace table when trying to figure out if our phones were working properly with the new SIM cards in. I was working with my phone and Sini had her iPad, US and Finnish phones at the table. Then two guys, who were having a conversation, walked past us and suddenly the other one just pointed at us and said: “Those two are definitely in the music business.” Well, no… just a couple of tourists from Finland, but thank you! We must have looked really professional then… 😀 Finally, when I went quickly to the restroom and came back to our table, Sini said that other two guys who were sitting at the next table had said that they were into her and liked her tattoos… What’s with these Americans? There’s constantly somebody who would like to take you somewhere. Well, welcome to Finland where men usually don’t talk at all… But then again, maybe it’s a nice change for a while… 😉
